Mike Hoseus
Mike is Executive Director for the Center for Quality People & Organizations (CQPO), which was developed in 1999 as a vision of Toyota Motor Manufacturing to share the Lean Quality philosophy and human resource practices with education, business, and community organizations.
Mike is an adjunct professor with the University of Kentucky’s Center for Manufacturing, the University of Dayton’s Center for Competitive Change, and a member of the faculty of Lean Enterprise Institute. Before CQPO, Mike was a corporate leader for 13 years at Toyota Motor Manufacturing’s Georgetown, Kentucky, plant in both Human Resources and Manufacturing.
Mike currently supports organizations with Lean Culture transformations focusing on Executive Management and Human Resources roles and how the quality people value stream connects to the production value stream.
John Vellema
John Vellema is the Founder and Senior Master Enabler of Business Through People ApS, a role he has held since its establishment in 2012. His commitment to honest, caring, and straightforward communication has fostered strong relationships with his clients and colleagues.
Renowned as one of the foremost TWI master enablers, he excels in coaching senior leadership to cultivate effective leadership systems. He always approaches his work with deep respect for those he guides.
Before founding his company, John made significant contributions to the LEGO Group, where he was an essential part of successfully implementing a Global Job Training Organization across their manufacturing sites. His experiences and insights from this endeavor are encapsulated in his acclaimed book, “Building a Global Learning Organization,” which was honored with a Shingo Publication Prize. As an external consultant, John has developed a portfolio of successful TWI cases, earning respect for his humble yet impactful coaching style.
