We are delighted to be bringing our frie
nd and sensei Mr Furuhashi, with whom we’ve had a 20 year relationship, back to South Africa before the end of this year. He will be facilitating a Best Practice Workshop at Pailpac in Durban, a leading open-top plastic packaging manufacturing specialist in South Africa.
Mr Furuhashi comes from the source: from Toyota City, Japan, the city where the Toyota Production System began. He brings a wealth of knowledge and experience with him on what will be his 18th visit to South Africa. He knows us and the South African context. Furthermore he has been working for the last 7 years in the automotive industry in India, an emerging market from which we can learn a great deal.
A unique value-adding aspect of Mr Furuhashi’s approach is that, while he is very allied to lean, he does not pin his colours to a particular improvement philosophy. He is original in the work he has done and the models he has developed, which are embedded in 30 years of consulting experience to Japanese and Singapore companies and most recently in India.
